Plaza Pavilion ~ Aladdin's Oasis
Enchanted Tiki Room

This miniature sells for $275. The first time
audiences were able to sing like the birdies was
on June 23, 1963 with a little help from Audio-
Animatronics, a WED Enterprise invention.
The Tiki Room features a "cast" of over 150
talking, singing and dancing birds, flowers,
drummers, totem poles and a magic fountain.

When the Tiki Room opened at Disneyland it
had a admission charge of .75 because it was
then owned by WED Enterprises the rest of
Disneyland was owned by Walt Disney
Productions. Originally planned to be a
restaurant where the birds serenaded guests as
they ate. Early plans for the Tiki Room had a
coffee station where the "magic fountain"
currently is. With the Plaza Pavilion and the
Tahitian Terrace in the same building the
kitchen would have been shared.  From 1993-
1996 Aladdin’s Oasis entertained guests of
Adventureland with a restaurant and show.
Then in 1997 a storyteller named Kazoo,
Aladdin and Jasmine came to Aladdin’s Oasis to
tell the story of the movie.

The detail on this miniature is amazing and
comes with extra features.  The entrance of the
Tiki Room is removable to allow viewing of the
seating area and fountain inside.  With a push
of part of the roof  the tiki birds descend from
the celling . You must see it for yourself.
