Emporium
Emporium

The Emporium was the fifth in the Main
Street collection to be released. The
premiere was December 11th, 2004.
The miniature retails for $180.00 at
the Disneyana, Disney Gallery, The
World of Disney and Off The Page, at
Disney's  California Adventure.

The Emporium was a 1955 original,
depicting America in 1890-1910, at the
crossroads of an era. The design is
inspired in part by Walt Disney's
boyhood hometown of Marceline,
Missouri.  A very special detail about
the building is a tribute from Walt
Disney to his father with a window over
the Main Street Emporium: " Elias
Disney, Contractor, Est. 1895" (Elias
Disney was actually a building
contractor in Chicago).

From the popcorn lights, inspired from
Tivoli Gardens, in Copenhagen to the
glowing show case windows, Robert
Olszewski has the ability to bring Walt's
dream into our homes.  Gazing at the
illuminated art work, you feel as if you
are  sitting on a bench in Town Square.
