Carnation Café ~ Bakery
~ Ice Cream Shop ~
Penny Arcade
Just in time for the holidays on
December 10th 2005, number 11 of
this remarkable collection was
released. Selling for $185.00, it is
available at the Disneyana, Disney
Gallery, The World of Disney and
Off The Page, at Disney's
California Adventure.
The Carnation Café is a great place
to grab a bite to eat at breakfast,
lunch or dinner. There is not a lot of
seating so normally there is a long
wait.
The Blue Ribbon Bakery, serves
coffee, hot chocolate, baked goods,
and some sandwiches. During the
holidays they also sell hot cider.
The Gibson Girl is a delightful place
filled with the wonderful smells of
freshly made waffle cones. This ice
cream shop was once the only place
one could get the Fantasia flavour.
But thanks to the budget cuts and
switching of vendors, it is no longer
available.
The Penny Arcade is a fun stop on
your way down Main Street. They
have penny press machines and old
fashion arcade entertainment such as
love meters, a fortune teller, and
black and white movie shorts.
As for the miniature, detail is an
under statement. For example, the
seating for the Carnation Café and
the signs on the buildings are
impressive. The Penny Arcade
entrance has a sense of depth that is
inviting. Esmeralda, the fortune
teller, waits to disclose your future.
With the work that went into this
one, I look forward to what Robert
has in store for us.
